I would like start by wishing everyone a happy new year. Things are tough for a lot of people, rather around the holidays, or just day to day. We all have other struggles – rather big or small.
This year, Merrimack Valley Hope Mission~ will be hosting a delicious turkey dinner meal in Newburyport for anyone who would like a hot meal during this winter. We will he serving a nice turkey dinner, with all the fixings. Dinner will be served at 5:00pm and this meal will be held at the The Salvation Army, Newburyport Massachusetts on Thursday, February 21.
We will need volunteers and support to help make this success. Flyers and as well as press releases will be going out soon about this event. In the meantime, those are interested in volunteering to either serve or help prepare the meal, or would like donate food – drinks etc please contact me by email – jarvis.don@gmail.com
This dinner will happen regardless of weather as in the winter the Salvation Army of Newburyport becomes a Cold Weather / Emergency Shelter for those that need to get out of the weather. I’m expecting to serving about 100 meals and bring a delicious plate of food to soo many…
