Through countless hours of dedicated service to the community, whether it be local or across the country Donald Jarvis has been recognized by several for his work.

Donald Jarvis has received recognition from a President of the United States, a Chairman of the Joint Cheifs of Staff, a retired Secretary of Defense, members of Congress, State Elected Officials, and many more.

On 19 October 2021, Donald was presented with a “State Senate Official Citation” signed and presented by State Senator Diana DiZoglio.

On 19 October 2021, Donald was presented with “Best of 2021: Community Service / Volunteer” by the Eagle-Tribune Newspaper presented by Dave Shultz

On 27 August 2021, Donald was appointed as “National Aide-de-Camp” to Commander-in-Chief Fritz Mihelcic. VFW State Commander made the recommendation do this honorary appointment due to outstanding service to Posts and/or state Department

On 20 August 2021, Donald was presented with “The Flag of the United States of America” which was flown over the USS Constitution, “Old Ironsides” in honor of Donald Jarvis’ service to the country and community.

On 14 August 2021, Donald Jarvis was the featured “Guest of Honor” at the Annual Warrior Benefit Concert hosted at the Greece American Legion in Greece, New York.

On 7 August 2021, Donald was presented with a “Congressional Proclamation” from Congresswoman Lori Trahan proclaiming that “Donald Jarvis is acknowledged for his long-standing commitment to our Nation and lauded for his service, courage, and sacrifice in combat. Donald Jarvis is hereby officially recognized for his outstanding contributions to the betterment of our Nation and his dedication to the community, through his unyielding pursuit to serve, support, and help enrich the lives of others.”

On 7 August 2021, Donald was presented with “The Flag of the United States of America” which was flown over the US Captiol at the request of Congresswoman Lori Trahan and was formally presented by Congresswoman Trahan.

On 7 August 2021, Donald was presented with a “State Senate Official Citation” signed and presented by State Senator Diana DiZoglio.

From May to November 2021, Donald was honored as a “Hometown Hero” by the Exchange Club of Haverhill.

In May 2021, Donald was recognized as “Student of the Month” for May 2021, in the academic year 2020-2021 at Northern Essex Community College. Presented by the Student Affairs Committee, nominated by English Department Professor Sara Codair.

On 16 March 2021, Donald was honored as a “Hand Up Hero by Eric Donoho of Hand Up, LLC.

On 21 February 2021, Donald was presented with a “Letter of Appreication” by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark A Milley. General Milley presented Donald Jarvis with a special print of the General’s portrait as the 39th Cheif of Staff for the United States Army. The official unveiling of that hand-painted portrait happened just days prior at the Pentagon.

On 20 November 2020, Donald was presented with a “Letter of Appreication” by former Secretary of Defense General James Mattis. Secretary Mattis expresses his respect and appreciation for Jarvis’ service in the Army in Afghanistan, and for his work, dedication, and leadership in supporting fellow veterans. This letter was written in a copy of ‘Call Sign Chaos’.

On 12November 2020, Donald was presented with a “Certificate of Appreciation” from the Haverhill Exchange Club. Presented by Thea Tsagaris, President, in gratitude of commitment and support of the Exchange Club’s mission and service

On 26 September 2020, Donald was presented with a “State Senate Official Citation” signed and presented by State Senator Diana DiZoglio.

On 11 September 2019, Donald was honored by the Exchange Club of Greater Newburyport during their Field of Honor Event.

On 14 November 2015, the First Parish Church of Newbury hosted “Donald Jarvis Appreciation Day” as a way of showing and giving thanks for the cleanup work and restoration work that took place at the First Parish Burying Ground in the Spring, Summer, and Fall of 2015. Dedicating his entire spring, summer, and fall to clearing several acres of overgrowth from hundreds of gravestones

On 28 July 2012, Donald Jarvis was the featured “Guest of Honor” at the Annual Warrior Benefit Concert hosted at the Greece American Legion in Greece, New York.

In July 2012, Donald Jarvis received the “Presidential Volunteer Service Award” awarded by President Barack Obama presented by Maine Sea Coast Missions, Cherryfield, Maine.

On 13 July 2012, Donald was presented with a “Letter of Appreication” by Sergeant Major of the Army Raymond F. Chandler III.

In June 2012, Donald was presented with a “Certificate of Participation” in Operation Flying Heroes, hosted by General, United States Army, Retired, Richard Cody. General Cody retired as Vice-Chief of Staff, and today serves as the Chairman of the Board for Homes for Our Troops.
