Today, a room full of veterans gathered at the Haverhill Country Club for a Veterans Awards Breakfast organized by the Haverhill Rotary Club. We were blessed to have veterans from the Korean War to the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
13 individuals were honored and recognized for their service and continued service to the community since getting out of the service. I found out last Thursday that 3 individuals will be receiving a special recognition for their service and continued service. I was selected to be one of those 3. Many thanks to everyone who was recognized today and in addition to all the beautiful citations the Haverhill Rotary club will be making a donation on my behalf to a charity of my choosing and I chose Honor Flight New England.
