As the Veteran Grave Officer for the Town of Newbury my duties include caring for all the veteran graves within the Town. Newbury is blessed to have veterans from the American Revolutionary War to the recent conflict of Iraq and Afghanistan.
In addition to placing flags for Memorial Day, caring and up-keeping the graves we have started placing Remembrance Wreaths in December. Over 4 years ago we decided to work with Wreaths Across America and work on soliciting Remembrance Wreaths for our veterans. Since we have started we have slowly increased support for this wonderful event.

Many people come to us and express interest in placing them; which is great. To keep up with the success from previous years and grow in our efforts we are seeking support from people to help us get wreaths sponsored. With out having wreaths sponsored we won’t have any wreaths to place. Last year, we were able to place a wreath at every veteran grave in Newbury and a wreath at every veteran grave at the Newburyport Veteran Cemetery. We hope to do the same, plus more. However, this will not be possible without extra help and support. Wreaths can also be sponsored for a loved one / veteran outside of Newbury – if you are interested in this please email us and we can discuss how this works.
If you are interested in helping Wreaths Across America Newbury, Massachusetts this year please reach out and let us know. Also, we welcome and encourage you to Like our page and follow up. As we start to make our way into the fall/winter we are going to start focusing on collecting these wreath sponsors and spreading the word about this program.
Those interested in helping us make this year a success please email Donnie or Tracey at NewburyWreaths@gmail.com with any questions, or simply letting us know you are interested in helping!! I would like to see us break the number of wreaths we had last year (850). I truly believe with everyone’s help and support we will!!
Together Everyone Achieves More!! 🇺🇸
